In September 2016 Communications@Syracuse students gathered on campus at Syracuse University for an immersion weekend focused on the fast-evolving fields of social media and analytics. Throughout the weekend students had the chance to learn from innovators in these growing fields, meet faculty and classmates in person, and explore the Syracuse campus.
Sysomos Platform Training
Students had hands-on training with Sysomos, a global leader in social analytics and insights.
Students had the opportunity to meet and network with faculty members in person.
Aaron Stout, president of WCG, gave his presentation titled, “What’s Trending: Social Media Analytics for Results Driven Organizations.”
Executive Panel Discussion
This session featured Jason Harris of Sysomos, Nick Cicero of Delmondo, Jennifer Grygiel of the Newhouse School, and Stephen Cvengros of Syracuse Media Group.
Lunch in the Carrier Dome
Students joined Otto the Orange for a lunch in Syracuse University’s famed Carrier Dome.
Student Project Presentations
Throughout the weekend students worked in groups on a project called Phone Wars: LG and Competitive Differentiation.
