Communications@Syracuse offers you the chance to earn a Newhouse Master of Science in Communications from anywhere in the world. The program blends live classes, engaging coursework and in-person immersions to create an online learning experience unlike any other. As an online student, you will be fully immersed in the Newhouse community, with access to the same resources and services as on-campus students.
Newhouse faculty transform their lectures and traditional assignments into video coursework you can access 24/7. You will complete coursework in advance of class sessions. Coursework includes recorded lectures, case studies and quizzes.
You will attend live sessions in a virtual classroom. Classes are open discussions between Newhouse faculty and students living and working around the world. Sessions are capped at 15 students, and all classes are recorded so you can review past sessions at any time.
The online campus is your Communications@Syracuse student hub. When you log in to the campus, you can join student groups and meet with classmates outside of class for socializing or studying. You also can access your assignments, schedule, important notices and live classes. Explore our online learning platform in this video
The Communications@Syracuse mobile app allows you to access the online campus from your smartphone or tablet. You can upload assignments, view course videos, and keep track of your schedule from wherever you are. Learn more about our mobile app.
Three-day immersions are held in cities around the world, and you typically will attend two immersions during your program. Immersions offer you the chance to meet your classmates and professors in person. Learn more about immersions
