Explore Your Journey Through the Communications@ Syracuse Program
When you earn your master’s in communications online with Newhouse, you’ll earn your degree without quitting your job and apply your newfound skills in real time. You’ll also work, interact and present on a digital platform—a skill set that’s mandatory for success in today’s tech-driven communications world.
Live, Face-to-Face Video Classes
In a communications program, you need to be able to interact with your peers and faculty in real time. That’s why our class sessions are held on our live, face-to-face videoconferencing platform and class sizes are capped at 15 students—to preserve the intimacy of an on-campus classroom. All classes are recorded so you can review past sessions at any time.
Immersive Digital Coursework
Media and communications are interactive professions—and so our coursework is interactive, too. Assignments incorporate recorded lectures, virtual case studies and quizzes to ensure you fully engage with and absorb the material. Coursework is available on the online platform, which you can access anytime from a computer or mobile device.
Communications@Syracuse is delivered entirely online except for two in-person immersions—one held on the Syracuse University campus in New York and the other in a domestic or international city selected with each cohort.
To finish the program, you will complete an independent project focused on a digital communications innovation within your specialized subject area. You will complete the project individually but are encouraged to collaborate with your peers.
Take the next step in your career with an online master’s in communications from Newhouse.
